Handel - Zadok the Priest (BEST VERSION EVER !!!) with lyrics

Great Britain was very fortunate to have had Handel live here. He was duly honoured by burial in Westminster Abbey. It shows the power and majesty of his anthems that this has been played at the coronation of every British monarch since 1727. It is noble, dignified filled with joyful solemnity. One can hardly imagine anything better. I pity those composers, including Walton who composed music for coronations thereafter.

Beautiful piece of music,… weird title.
I could see “ The Anointing of King Solomon”.. or ..” The Coronation of King Solomon”.

This is played at the coronations of the British monarchs. Never had known the words till now, though.

Wow this makes much more sense with the first section slower and the second faster. Agree with you! I wonder who set the trend of the tempi being the other way around – perhaps a choir that couldn’t manage it. Thank you for sharing this.

Yes I agree…. it makes far sense… slow, regal entrance followed by joyous and triumphant celebration.

But there is an interpretation by John Elliott Gardner that plays the whole piece slowly…

It's 3 am in the morning and you fancy a drive about a deserted city in the car ,one heĺl of a piece of music to drive to .

Marvel Cinematic Universe: Prelude to Infinity War

Before creation itself, there existed six singularities of immense power. When the universe exploded into being, their remnants were forged into concentrated ingots possibly by the Cosmic Entities Infinity, Entropy, Eternity and Death. Over time, the infinity stones representing Space, Mind, Reality, Power, Soul and Time became scattered across the …
