Dearly beloved, Loving greetings to you in the name of Lord Jesus Christ! Are you all happy? Is this New Year a blessing to you? Has the Lord started to bestow double fold blessings upon you? Some of you say, “Yes, the Lord has started to bless us right from the beginning of this New Year.” Some of you say, “Why nothing has happened?” Lord had promised us, It doesn’t happen in just a single day. We have to wait continuously. We must continue to believe, pray and seek the promise of God. Only then we can inherit the blessing. He has promised to bless you double fold. He will definitely do it. He is an unfailing God in His promises. Let see how to receive it. In Job 22:21, a devotee tells a beautiful advice. “Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; Thereby good will come to you.” The Lord says, “Thereby good will come to you.” As a servant of God, I tell you that you will receive blessings according to the promise of God. The Lord says, “My son, My daughter, you will receive your blessing.” In your family, education, profession and in your life you will receive double fold blessings. But do you know what you must do? You must acquaint with him. Who is the One who blesses us?
It is our Lord. In that case you must acquaint with Him and be at peace with Him. Do you acquaint yourself with the Lord? If you love a person, if you like them, you acquaint yourself with them, isn’t it? You speak to them quite often.
You meet them quite often. You invite them for lunch or dinner.
You go to their residence. A good fellowship develops. Then you say, “We are thick friends.” How do you say so? Did you become friends right from the beginning? As you acquainted yourself with the person, you got closer. The same way, you must acquaint yourself with the Lord. You must get up early in the morning, read the Bible, pray and speak to Him open-heartedly saying, “Lord, You are a good Father to me. Be a good friend of mine, guide me and lead me.” If two of you are friends, you intimate them about the things you are about to do, right? You would ask your friend, “I am thinking of doing this, what do you think of this?” Ask the Lord. Are you studying? Ask, “I have completed my schooling and I must further my studies in a college, Lord. I think of studying in this university.
What do you think, Lord? Please reveal the plan that You have for me. I think of taking up my career with this company. What do you think, Lord? You are my friend.
So please counsel me, Lord.” Acquaint yourself with the Lord. Tell Him, “Lord, I am facing such a problem. I do not know what to do. What would be the right decision?”
Ask of the Lord. That is what it means to acquaint yourself with the Lord. You must have such a fellowship with the Lord. That is how I would talk to the Lord. Whenever I sit in His presence during my prayer time, “What should I do concerning this?
What about the other issue? Some things like this make me happy and this makes me upset. Some people do certain things which upsets me. What can I do?” When we ask of God, He will lead us wonderfully. The issues in your family and in your workplace, speak to the Lord open-heartedly. Prayer is not about asking the Lord for this and that like a beggar. It is about speaking to the Lord and acquainting yourself with Him. That is why we tell you to ‘Walking with Jesus’ in this program. Therefore, acquaint yourself with the Lord and be at peace with Him. The Lord is in peace with us, isn’t it? If you commit any sin, He would be upset on us. The Lord will feel sorry about it. Go to the Lord and say, “I have spoken so. Please forgive me. I had become angry. I shouldn’t have done it. Please forgive me. Lord, sanctify me.” Reconcile with Him and be at peace with Him. Only then you can walk with the Lord. Have you committed a mistake? Did you go to any place which the Lord was unhappy about? Are you having friendships that displease the Lord? Tell Him, “No, Lord. I do not need such friendships. You are my everything.” Be in peace with Him saying so. The Lord will give you good blessings. Only then good things will happen.
Okay? Father, You are such a good Father. You are a great friend of mine. Counsel me. Lead me and give me your guidance. Lord, I want to be with you and I want You to be with me always. I must acquaint with You, Lord. I must speak to You. I must listen to what You say. I need Your counsel.
Grant me Your grace. If I have done anything or spoke anything that has made you upset, please forgive me at once. Be with me and come along with me as I go to work, business and studies. Be with me and guide me, Father.
I submit to be with You always. Father, I ask this prayer in the name of Lord Jesus. Amen.
